Project Description:
The project involves training of community members in targeted pest management. These workers will be equipped with spray machines, safety kits, etc. They will then train the community. Main purpose of the project is to promote organic farming, discarding chemical pesticide leading to better production and healthy living. The role of the agricultural extension service is to introduce new technologies, advise farmers on various aspects of crop production, develop mechanism for supply of inputs such as chemicals, fertilizer and seed, and provide services like crop and orchard management. As many as 80 direct beneficiaries will be trained in AJK, Tehsil Harira and Tehsil Khuirata.
