Pakistan TVET REFORM Support Programme Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Reform support Programme
QUETTA, Nov 21, 2014: The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Pakistan Marcel de Vink on Friday underlined the importance of technical education and vocational training (TVET), saying a better TVET system can equip millions of youth with employable skills.
He expressed these views in a meeting with officials from National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (BTEVTA).
The meeting was facilitated by the TVET Reform Support Programme, funded by the European Union, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Royal Norwegian Embassy and commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is implementing this program in close collaboration with the NAVTTC.
The ambassador was given a presentation on Balochistan-specific ongoing TVET reforms, where Ambassador De Vink commended the progress and hoped that it would help laydown a solid foundation for a better system in the province.
