Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) and Pakistan Association of Printing & Graphic Arts Industry (PAPGAI) agreed to jointly work September 29th, 2020. As per the partnership deed, under the project titled “Enhancing quality, relevance and equity of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) through imparting demand-based workplace-based training in Sindh”, PAPGAI will take over the training delivery and management of trainees at Pakistani Swedish Institute of Technology (PSIT) Karachi, an institute operating under Sindh TEVTA with the aim to impart workplace-based training (WBT) to 500 men and 100 women trainees in Offset Printing Machine Operator, Designer for Print Media, Junior Binder, and Post Printing Operations trades under competency-based training (CBT) methodology. This public-private partnership will ensure facilitation of on-site training of 600 trainees leading to their employment.
