EU Ambassador says it is only possible through sustainable allocation of resources by both state and private sectors
ISLAMABAD:
Quality technical and vocational education and training (TVET) is important to empower the youth of the country, said European Union Ambassador to Pakistan Androulla Kaminara. According to her, this is only possible through sustainable allocation of resources by both the state and private sector. She was speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the second out of five Centres of Excellence (COEs) being established by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC). “Teachers are one of the pillars of TVET and it is encouraging to see that the centres of excellence will also focus on enhancing their skills to ensure they can play their role more effectively,” she said. “Furthermore, I am particularly pleased to see how the COEs are going to play an important role in women empowerment by ensuring that at least 30% of the trained teachers and students are women.”
