Establishment of Centres of Excellence is a major goal set for the second phase of the TVET reforms. Five centres of excellence are to be established in Islamabad, Kotri, Lahore, Hub and Peshawar. These centres are being established in the existing training facilities where competitive measures are required to build a benchmark TVET delivery model. Upgradation of these centres for implementation of cascading training model for TVET teachers training and sequential uplift of these institutes will be carried out in terms of organizational development, infrastructure improvement like labs, training facilities, human resource capacity building, and introduction of demand-driven occupational trainings.
